Start Your 14-Day Free TrialFMCSA periodically removes ELDs from its registered list when they fail to meet the technical requirements. If your device is on the revoked list, you need to act quickly.
What a revocation means
Once a device is revoked, it is no longer considered compliant. FMCSA has generally given carriers 60 days from the revocation notice to replace the device. Always check the current FMCSA notice for your device, as dates and terms are set per revocation.
Steps to take right away
- Check FMCSA's revoked ELD list for your device name
- Note the date on the revocation notice
- Use paper logs or a compliant backup if your provider instructs you to
- Choose and install a replacement registered ELD before the deadline
- Keep records of your previous logs as required
